PROJECT: HT8r

Location: Sofia
Year: 2024

The apartment is located in a new building in the central part of Sofia with a total square footage of 136m2. The footage dedicated to the individual rooms is well balanced, which lays a good foundation for the interior design.

Our main goal was to further develop the feeling of spaciousness with optimal layout and to make the interior modern and elegant. The main proposal that was developed and implemented was to create a core furniture volume that would serve as a central accent and incorporate the kitchen, the entrance area wardrobe, the wall paneling with doors. Closed inside this central core are the two bathrooms. The creation of this main accent volume further gives a sense of continuation and increase of the daily space and a better interconnection between the different areas. To enhance the feeling of this approach, a unified flooring and unified lighting in U shape is implemented. According the general color scheme that the family approved for the interior, the core furniture volume is black, the flooring around it is high-quality wooden parquet by a Bulgarian manufacturer in a cocoa shade, walls and ceilings contrast in white.

For a minimalistic and modern feel of the design- the interior doors are frameless and the floor skirting is also integrated into the walls. The lighting is entirely designed in lighting zones and scenes with a smart home control. An interesting accent in the black furniture core is the open part of the kitchen, which is completely lined in ceramic technical stone with fine details, as well as the kitchen island, which represents the removed stone cube from the kitchen. The all-white minimalist art in the dining area was created specifically for this interior. The master bedroom and the two kids’ bedrooms are highly personalized as well, as the two children chose the shade of the main color in their rooms themselves. A highlight in the master bedroom is the two-layered linen wallpaper. The bathrooms are all white with a delicate white concrete structure of the tiles with minimalistic details of the glass separations and accessories.
